Rockstar Moment
and he's losing self control...
And for some reason all he wants to wear these days is his suit jacket and tie
with a grubby t-shirt.
Cause apparently that's how rockstars roll.
Four year old rock stars.
And all I have to say is
ROCK ON.
Just please hang your suit jacket back up when your
finished wallowing all over the floor in it.
Is that too much to ask?
Apparently for a rock star it is.
Such is life. For the mom of a rock star.
Geesh!

Word{s}
My life is not a competition. I am not running a race. There is nobody to beat.
I do the best with what I’ve been given. Always.
Sometimes it works out. Other times not.
And that is OK with me. Because this is real life.
My life.
Messy. Imperfect. Trivial.
Happy. Love-filled. Christ-centered.
What words describe your life today?

Cupcake Stand-In A Pinch
I threw a bridal shower for one of my good friends.
I decided I wanted to change things up and a bit and do cupcakes instead of cake.
But there was one problem.
I did not have a nice cupcake stand that matched the "speakeasy" theme.
So I made one with things I already had around the house.
Here's what you need:
Two emptied Morton salt containers
Cardboard
Spray Paint
Ribbon
Glue
Here's what you do:
Gather your supplies
Trace three different size plates onto your cardboard and cut them out
Spray paint cardboard and salt containers
Glue the cardboard to the salt containers
Largest on bottom. Smallest on top.
Glue ribbon to trim of cardboard plates
Fill with cupcakes
Have a party and eat them up

Winter Wipe-Out.....A Near Miss
Slow motion.
Sinking heart.
Sudden panic.
I grabbed his snow-pants leg in the nick of time.
He exclaimed "that was fun" giggling all the while.
Rescued from a near face plant right into our neighbor's house.
He never even knew what danger existed.
I wonder if we give the Lord a similar feeling at times?
He grabs us by the pant leg just in time.
From danger we never knew was there.
I'm thankful for His hand of protection.

Ooooeeyyy Gooooeeeyyy Monday
A snowstorm has arrived blasting the city with a powdery white blanket.
Think down comforter.
And in an effort to hold off the littles from begging to play outside at 9AM I asked if they wanted to get messy.
Of course they obliged. And we made magic goo.
A perfect way to pass the time and learn a little something too.

When Life Throws You Lemons...
Drink em'
Wear em'
Smell em'
Eat em'
If you haven't figured it out already, I've been obsessed with everything lemon lately.
I never planned for it to happen. It was all really quite a coincidence.
Of course fresh squeezed lemonade is always my go to summer drink.
But it isn't summer.
I have no idea where my sudden attraction has come from.
C.O. Bigelow Lemon Hand Cream. Yum! Yum! Yum! That stuff is amazing.
They also make a killer candle that is pure lemon heaven.
Today I was introduced to
Girl Scout Lemonades.......OH MY GOODNESS. Have you tried them?
Darn KC traffic had me sitting all alone in my car with a box of em' and nothing else to do.
What else was I supposed to do?
They were practically screaming to come out of that pretty yellow box.
So I just gave them a little help.
Over and over and over again.
It's all your fault Interstate 35!
Lately I've been dousing myself with
Bath and Body Works Vanilla Lemon Body Spray.
So fresh and clean and a bit spicy.
A great casual scent.
I know it sounds weird. But seriously. Give it a try.
Ok I'll get off my lemon kick for now. Maybe I'll go make myself a lemonade.
I'm kinda thirsty.
