Woody Cowboy Party

This past Saturday we celebrated Isaak turning 3.
I always enjoy planning each detail of the boys parties, but this one was especially fun.
Probably because both boys are so crazy about Toy Story. Especially Woody and Jessie.

Water Bottle labels printed on card stock purchased from here. I peeled the brand label off the bottles and used double sided tape to stick them on.

Cowboy hats were given to each guest as they arrived.

Paper Straws purchased from here.

Sticky mustaches were in each treat sack purchased from our local Hallmark discount store.

And it would not be a cowboy party with out ponies!

Toy Story shirt purchased from Target.

Cowboy muslin treat sacks purchased from here
Cake from Judi's Bakery located here in Kansas City.
(They spelled his name wrong and had to fix it. Not good.)

Happy Birthday banner purchased from here.

I could kiss that little cowboy face forever.
Sad that he's growing up. So so sad.

{Thanks to Aunt Becca for taking the majority of these awesome photos.  She has rockin' mad photo taking skills and if you'd like to schedule a session with her email me.}

The end.

An Easter To Remember

I have absolutely no idea how these dandelions
and their puffy cousins appeared in some of my Easter photos.
So pretend you are a kid again.
And make a wish.
And blow them all away.
(If it was only that easy, right?)
Or I can always put my kids to work.
I know how much I pretend to love getting a handful of yellow weeds.
I believe it's a necessary duty of motherhood.

Happy Weekend

We'll all be wearing our rubber boots this weekend.
It's going to be a mucky one.
Tomorrow lots of errands on the agenda.
Farmers Market if the rain will give us a tiny break.
Laundry mat to wash dozens of burlap coffee sacks.
{More pillows coming soon to my shop!}
Looking for a new sewing machine.
A bit of antique shopping.
And perhaps a nap if I'm lucky.
Monday will be here all too soon. There is not a second to waste.

Speaking of Poop

Apparently my boys want poopy for dinner.
And I am a poopy head. {In fact I was just called one as I sit here typing this-ugh}
And the bad guys are poo poo guys.
And they call each other poopy butts, and poopoos, and poop faces.

Every question I ask them.
Every conversation we have.
When they are mad.
When they are happy.
It's all about poop. Some way. Some how.

It's not that i encourage this type of talk. Or even approve of it.
I am constantly asking them to stop talking about poop.
At which point in time they erupt into balls of obnoxious laughter and giggles.
Because it's so funny that mom says "poop."

It must be fun to say?
It is kind of a funny word.
Or is it just a boy thing?
I just don't get it.

I'm sure it's just a phase. And there are worse words they could be obsessed with.
But for now we have lots of poop talk around these parts.

Boy Ties Bow Ties

I've been searching all of the Big Box stores for Easter outfits for my boys to no avail.
I'm not much for traditional and had a very specific idea in mind.
Finally I found the cutest little Etsy shop specializing in little boys boy ties.

Be still my heart.

Isaak will be sporting the retro bicycles (with matching suspenders) and Gentry the brown argyle.
Imma gonna eat them up. Little boys in bow toys. Umm yes, I think so.
